Tell us about your experience in the fitness world.
Growing up with a love for extreme sports, I decided to explore the world of fitness after graduating from university. Soon after starting my Personal Training journey in 2019, I’ve had the opportunity to work with many unique athletes with a variety of different fitness goals. I live and work in London, splitting my time between Motosumo, private clients, and some of London's top boutique studios.

I specialise in what I call 'longevity fitness.' This means that I help clients move as best as they can, for as long as they can. Think of it as bulletproofing your body for life so that my clients feel their wins (whether big or small) every single day.

Who is your hero, and why?
There are so many people I admire; those who are doing amazing things for the world. It's so hard to narrow it down to just one. I admire anyone who makes use of their platform or authority and is a voice for good. Those who are a  voice for people who can't speak for themselves, these are my heroes.

Tell us about your experience in the fitness world.
Growing up, I was always a sporty kid. I participated in all kinds of sports, including track and field, basketball, football, cheerleading, volleyball and cycling. You name it, I've probably done it. When I got older, I moved away from fitness a bit to focus on life. After that, in 2018, I was ready to come back to fitness. I joined Malaysia's first boutique cycling studio as an instructor. Four years later, we've opened nine studios across Malaysia to be the biggest boutique fitness brand in the country! I've taught over 700 cycling and Versaclimber classes, and I've made my way up the ladder to become the Head of Programs. And I feel like I'm just getting started!

Most of my competitive stuff is far behind me. I grew up ski racing, swimming competitively and did alright with sailing. In my adult life, my fitness has been focused on cycling and body/breath work through acting and theatre. Though I'm definitely no stunt artist or traceur, I was fairly heavily involved in a Canadian parkour community for a while doing work with performers who were incredible at circus and movement.

Tell us about your experience in the fitness world.
I started very early, swimming at the age of 7 or 8 and continued until I was 14. During that time, I also learned to ride a bike. Shortly after, I took up judo, which I practiced for several years until I was 18, even competing in tournaments.

Alongside all of this, I got involved in athletics, where I found a strong connection. I became a good 100-meter sprinter and jumper, earning nicknames like Carl Lewis and Ben Johnson.

Then came military service, where I excelled and became the top performer in the Physical Fitness Test (TAF) in both my unit and military zone. At that point, I already knew I wanted to become a physical educator.

Later, I entered university and applied everything I learned during my classes, pursuing a career as a triathlete. Unfortunately, that didn’t materialize.

After graduating, I had the opportunity to intern and teach group fitness classes. That’s when I discovered my beloved spinning bike. It was love at first sight! I started taking every class I could and quickly became hooked.

Since then, I’ve worked on refining my skills and professionalizing my approach, always giving my best in everything I do. Today, I excel in group classes and believe I deliver excellent cycling sessions.

Guillermo Salazar

Tell us about your experience in the fitness world.
Fitness has always been my passion since Teenager, but during my university years, with very little time on my hands, I had to put physical activity on hold. I pursued two university degrees, one in Systems Engineering and another as Bachelor Administration. After graduating, I was able to refocus on my passion for indoor cycling and CrossFit, incorporating workouts into my office routine.

With a commitment to continuous learning, I delved into ways to enhance my training and nutrition. This led me to acquire numerous certifications, including Personal Trainer, Spinning Level 3 Instructor, and various workshops on Hiit and kettlebell training. Initially, I gained this knowledge for personal improvement, but a spark ignited, prompting me to teach. Twelve years ago, I started teaching as a second job, heading to the gym after leaving the office. To my surprise, over time, I left my office job entirely to become a full-time personal trainer and indoor cycling coach. Today, I have the privilege of guiding over 200 individuals from more than 8 countries in my daily workouts.
